Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I live in Illinois i pay child supprt and the mother gets to claim my son on taxes and she carried health insurance on him. Her insurance went up so now she wants me to get insurance on him my job dont offer it i dont have it myself. now she taking me to court whats my right?

The law says you are to carry insurance on the child, but the cost gets deducted before child support is calculated. However there is much discretion. If she has carried the child, then the Court might order you to pay all or a portion of the increased cost.
