Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

We want to get on with our lives.... can anyone help?

Hello - My husband has been divorced for many years and has two children from his previous marraige. We have been married a little over a year and are both at a loss for how to deal with his ex-wife. She constantly calls and writes us notes with rude comments or just gets him on the phone to yell at him about something. Really, she just looks for something new to argue about... constantly. We have tried to difuse the situation on many occasions, however nothing we have done seems to help. We would like to have a good relationship with her, for the sake of the children, however we are having difficulty. Are there any legal actions we can take? Besides harrassment and mental cruelty (maybe????) are there any ''laws'' that she is breaking with the constant violation in our lives? She has begun to turn the children away from their father by telling them a lot of stuff that is not true, then gets upset with us for talking to the children about what has been said. We just want to be left alone! Please help! Thank you in advance.

You can get an order of protection for harassment issues.
