Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

living with a nonrelative

My son's 17 year old friend wants to come live with us, if his mother moves out of the school district. Is this possible if his mother agrees? Any suggestions to accomplish this?

In practicality, you can probably do this. Legally, if the mother changes her mind, you can be charged with various minor crimes. Also, the school may feel this is fraud. If it was me, I would avoid the whole problem. It seems like a mess waiting to happen. That of course is not a legal opinion, but a "lets avoid problems before they happen" thought.
