Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Malestation

I was accused by my 15 yr old neice of malesting her 7,8 yrs ago. This never happened and I am devestated. What should I do? All of my family knows by word of mouth but they say they don't believe her but, please tell my what I should do to protect myself from all this.

I noticed that you posted this question under the category "Family Law." I think a criminal defense lawyer (as opposed to a family lawyer) might be better equipped to answer your question.
