Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

marital property

My spouse had his unemployment direct deposit into my bacnk acct. Now that I have filed for divorce he has made a police report & pressed charges.''Supposedly'' Hasn't he heard of marital property? And I didn't even do anything wrong! Does he have a case? Should I be worried?

Have the police contacted you? If not, and you're hearing this from your spouse, perhaps he's bluffing. I'm not sure what charges he can bring against you since he did all of this voluntarily. My advice is not to worry about this unless the police contact you. Then seek the advice of a lawyer.
