Marital Rights in Illinois

if my husband has had our house transfered to other people and shows no viable income do I have any right to them if we get divorced?

Hello. As the wife you have a right to the house, which is marital property. Transferring the house to other people constitutes a dissipation

of a marital asset. What this means is that the court should determine that your husband took property belonging to you. Any and all property acquired during a marriage in

Illinois is marital property and the

law allows for a division of marital
