Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Marriage Record

I am paying lifetime maintainence and I have reason to believe my ex-wife has remarried but don't know where. How can I find the record without writing to every County Clerk in the USA?

Oh my first thought would be...do you know where she lives and start with that County Clerk? If you have no idea I'd suggest some sort of skip tracing service or that sort of thing. I know we use some databases to find Defendants that is good is tracking people down.

Re: Marriage Record

Given the importance of lifetime maintenance, I would have a P.I. run a skip trace. There are ways to petition the court to end maintenance if you have a good faith belief she is remarried, but you may have to pay some of her legal fees if it turns out you were wrong.
