Am I Still Married?
My dad's second wife left him in January 1967 when we lived in Chicago, IL. She never came back, and there were no divorce proceedings. Wouldn't he be considered legally divorced after all these years?

He is still married - he needs to file a Petition for Dissolution with the Court (abandonment as the grounds) and get the marriage disolved. He can give her proper notice by advertising in the paper after petition is filed.
