Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
I was married to my husband for less than one year when he was deported back to Macedonia, as he was an illegal alien. We haven't lived together now for over 7 years and I would like to get a divorce. We have no children or property to settle. He would be agreeable to the divorce and can sign paperwork from there is necessary but cannot come here in person to appear in court.
What is the simplest, most inexpensive way I can dissolve this marriage? I am a resident of Cook County in Illinois.
Thankyou

File for divorce and have him submit to jurisdiction by filing an appearance, then he can default if he wants. You've been apart long enough that you have grounds.
