Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am not married I live with my boyfriend and was wondering if we don't work out can I leave the State of IL (where we live now) and move back to my family in Mass with our newborn?

The reality is many people in your situation simply move. However, he can file a court action that will make you have to bring the baby back to the state. As a lawyer, I recommend you simple deal with the matter, File a Petititon for Removal, go to the judge (or rather have your attorney go to the judge), and get a final order letting you leave. This way you never have to worry about it down the road when your across the country.
