Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I just got married in Mexico. The marriage is legal in Mexico but I dont know if it is legal in Illinois where I live.

If the marriage was legal in Mexico, it is legal here. This assumes that both parties were over the age of 18 at the time of the marriage or had legal consent and are not related by blood.
