If you proceed in court to establish paternity in order to resolve issues of custody, visitation and child support it will be under the parentage act. I don't think that the answer is obvious at all. Nor, do I think it has anything to do with your BF's parental rights. It has everything to do with your personal feelings in the matter. It is not necessary to invite him legally. I suggest you discuss the matter with your OB. This is not a legal question.
