Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have been married for two years and my husband didn't support us financially, but did pay on the credit card that he wanted to use for many things. If we get divorced do I have to pay him back for the money he has paid into it? ALso, he built a fish pond in our yard just recently and cost around 1200.00 and he wants that money as well. Is he entitled to this money.. Or anything that is paid for in the marriage is done and over with?

Since I am not your attorney, I am unable to give you any legal advice. The divorce process can get very tricky, and therefore it is impossible to give you a straight answer to your inquiry. The outcome could be anything: you two split the debt 50/50, you split the debt 60/40 or some other ratio, he takes on all of the debt, you take on all of the debt, you declare bankruptcy... and all this depends on a number of factors and I certainly do not know the details of your situation.
