Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have been married for 8 years. I have been the main earning person since we got married. My husband is unemployed and doesn't bother to look for work. To add to it he like to drink alcohol.

He doesn't contribute to helping around in the house as well... We live in Chicago IL...

We have a house with no equity in it. And lot of debt.

Will I have to pay him support?

We have 2 children 6yr, 3 yr. Who can get the custody?

Who pays child support?

Custody is determined by the facts of each case, and the best interest of the child. There is no simple "this person automatically gets the children", and I would need to know a lot more before giving an opinion. I can tell you that who ever has the children (residential custody) will receive child support. In an 8 year marriage, it is unlikely that you will have to pay alimony, or at the worst a small amount for a very short time.
