Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

If I want to marry and my partner is currently married...and also in the process of a divorce could we marry here in Illinois or Louisana while the process is going?

I was told yes we can but the divorce would need to be complete within 30days of the new marriage date

What's the rush and why are you looking for legal problems? No. If he's married he's married. Until he's divorced. And there's no guaranty the divorce will happen when he says it will.
