Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am currently in the middle of a divorce case. My current lawyer says she is moving and that I need to find another lawyer. She works a a firm with other lawyers. she said that no one else in here firm wants to handle the case.. Does she have the right to drop me? Or shouldn't one of the other lawyers take over the case?

To put it bluntly, she is entitled to withdraw as your attorney for many reasons, including the fact that she is leaving the firm. As many judges have told me, I am not an indentured servant who must stay in a case. Her former bosses, similarly, are not required to stay as your attorneys. It may be unfair, and there is a cost to starting over with a new attorney, but in our judicial system, it is a frequent happening

The legal system does not want to force attorney's to remain working against their will, and will also not force clients to keep attorney's they do not want anymore.
