can a person that is 17 years of age legally move out of his parent's home in illinois?

minor's or parent's rights in Illinois

I am not aware of any Illinois stature requiring a minor to remain with his parents. He or she can, if he or she desires, seek legal emancipation. A parent can not practically force a 17 year old to stay in the parent's residence.
