minor step child served order of protection by dean of student and daughter of

My stepdaughter moved in with us at the end of the school yr, may.The dean of students from the school my daughter attends. Our daughters became friends. When the dean of students daughter stopped dating a boy from their school. My daughter started dating him. Since then it has been nothing but trouble.Instead of the dean of students leaving it alone and letting the girls work it out themselves she stepped in.We have had an incident at a school function where the police were called. the following day she filed for an order of protection againt my daughter. My daughter had tried to commit suicide at her natural mothers home, because she wanted to come live with us.Now that she's here she's doing fine in that department. But at this school they asked my why she wanted to come here and I explained about the suicide attempts. Since then the Dean of Students has let it know to everyone. At the school function she yelled out that my daughter needs mental help.In the order of protection she put in there that she has made several suicide attempts.I thought that school personell were supposed to keep things confidental. But I just need to know what to do about the order of protection. We have 30 days from service to file an answer.

I cannot rely to this question wihtout more information. You daughter should have an attorney. Things sound out of control. I have never heard of a school official acting this way. See if you can retain someone local to your area. Do not let an order of protection be entered if it can at all be avoided.
