Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My mom is an alchoholic. She abused me (i am 17) and my brother is (18). She kicked us out on the streets while being drunk many of times. We had no where else to turn but to get all of our stuff and leave. She continued to call us up, and harass us over the phone, and now is trying to get me back to live with her legally, is there anything I can do to escape going back into this enviorment. I have been staying with my great family friend for a while now and that is working out since I can get a job and everything, but she wants me back because ( I quote): I want to make your life miserable.

You can seek to be declared an emancipated minor. Go to the Probate division of the Court where you live and the clerk should give you forms to complete. Your parfents are entitled to notice of your request.
