Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

the monthly child support that I give to my ex-wife for my daughter will come to an end in June of 2010. Is there anything I need to do on my end? I have the money automatically taken out of my pay on a bi-weekly basis which then goes through the state of Illinois and they in turn pay her.

Thanks

SDU should stop the payments but rarely do. Normally a person in your situation gets an order a few months before the obligation is over. The order directs SDU to stop taking money out on a certain date. Let me know if you have any more questions.

See if your HR department still has a copy of the Notice to Withhold. It should have a termination date. Ask them if they will honor that date or if they will require a court order. If they require a court order, you need to obtain one.
