Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Mother died a year an a half ago,we got my sister as administrater, one of my sisters had mothers bank accounts,hired a second lawyer to retrive assest,during the legal fight my sister the one with the bank accounts had a lien put on her from an embezzlement conviction she had. Well the second lawyer finally called us and said we had a deal and she would only get $4,000 out of what was left and forefit $25,000 because she spent that already. Well for two months we heard nothing from out lawyer ,he wouldn't return our calls, so the first lawyer got ahold of him and told him to finish the case and close it because he's ill,Now we find out from the lawyer that made the deal, that not only does she get $4000.00 but the credit union gets 50% of her share of the house. We were never told this part until 2 months after, the settlement.Now what do we do hire another lawyer or report this lawyer for settling oon something we had no idea he was doing?
