Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
Mother's will
My mother died last November and my sister is the Executor. Do I have a right to know what is in the will? My mother told me many times my sons are in the will. How can we find out?

All wills have to be registered in the county they are probated. It is public record.

All wills must be filed in the Circuit Court of the county in which your mother lived within 90 days. It could be a criminal offense if it isn't filed. If it's not filed, open a probate on your own and force your sister to file it.
