Re: Motion to Reconsider

Hello. When a motion to reconsider is filed

it is necessary for the party who filed the motion

to serve a copy of the motion upon the other party

and include a notice of motion advising the other

party of when the motion will be presented to the court. Generally, a motion, even if filed, will

go no where, unless it is set on the court's

calendar. At the Daley Center in Chicago this

can be done by going directly to the motion clerk

who will electronically set the court date for

the motion. If these steps are not followed, a

motion, even if filed, may not be heard by the

court. I suggests that you get good legal representation, if you are a party to this case.
