Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Hi, I am a non citizen custodial parent. The NCP who is a US citizen is neither interested in the child nor has paid even a penny in child support which has been established by court. If I move out of US, do I still have a right to pursue and collect child support? I might face a lot of ostracization in my home country, to find a decent job, being an unwed mother, and the support will really help my child. Thanks.

This is a very complicated question and you should be talking to a family lawyer who also is experienced in immigration matters. I suggest you contact your local bar association and ask for a referral.
