Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Notice of motion

I have recently divorced and my ex husband suppose to give me $ 1,000 per month (for six months) beginning from March 1st, 2006. I didn't receive anything. I would like to send his lawer a notice of motion (I don't know where he lives). My ex husband has his own business. How can I get the money he owns me? Can I ask in court to sell one of his properties?

Thanks.

Re: Notice of motion

Hello. I can imagine how frustrated you are that

your ex-husband has not paid you what the court

ordered. In my opinion you should immediately go

back to court on a "motion for rule to show cause

as you why he should not be held in contempt of court for violating the court order." The court

will hold your ex-husband in contempt in my opinion. I will be happy to answer any additional questions that you might have.
