Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
I want to know if i should have been notified when my ex husband came up missing?And was i to know that his family had my child?

Missing from where? What right to you have to be notified. If he is not caring for your child, and you have been visiting with the child, you , in theory, would have noticed he was not around. You are entitled to notice of any proceeding where his family is seeking custody of the child, if your husband is, as you say, missing, you should seek custody.
