Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Order of protection

My soon to be ex-daughter-in-law has an order of protection against my son here in illinois. She is moving to florida at the end of the month, does the order of protection automatically go with her to florida or does she have to request another order of protection or file something with the state of florida when she moves?

Re: Order of protection

She is advised to contact the local office of the Sheriff regarding the order of protection. Courts in Florida will recognize such orders but it is advisable, if the restraining order is permanent rather than temporary, to file the order in Florida or to obtain another protective order in the local Florida county. Usually, the Sheriff or local police will have to enforce such orders and it is advisable to contact them re their local jurisdiction and policy.
