Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

i originally filed for a divorce on Dec 8, 2009. i went down to sign documents on Jan 15, 2010. i was told he would be served within 30 days. it's be about 45 days and i haven't heard anything. can i get my money back and go somewhere else?

You do not indicate if you did this through lawyers or by yourself. You always have the right to change attorneys, but they are entitled to be paid for their time and court costs. A resppndent is not always served the first try.
