Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
In my parenting agreement said if we are going on vacation somewhere we have to notify the other parent one month in advance my question is my ex-wife just sent me a text she is leaving on vacation won`t be back until Saturday afternoon if I want the kids I can have next week even do she doesnt have to.
Can I call the cops on her since she didn`t respect the agreement plus this is my weekend? Note i did not know anything until a few minutes ago.

The best course of action to take, in my opinion, is to bring this to the court's attention by having your lawyer prepare a petition for a rule to show cause, filing the petition, and scheduling it before court as soon as possible with proper notice to your ex.. It is unlikely the police will want to get involved and will likely advise you that this is a court matter and that you should bring this to the attention of the judge. You certainly need to hire a lawyer if you don't have one. I have additional comments and suggestions that I can make.
