my parents used my step dads last name for me in school first grade through 12th grade.my name wasnt legally changed till i was 14.is that against the law and what can i do about it?

Hello. The use of your step dad's name did not amount to a name change. To correct your records you will need your birth certificate as proof of your legal name.
