Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

parent-teacher relationship

My husband and his ex do not communicate well. He decided to call his son's preschool to set up a meeting with his teachers to find out about the school and how his son is adjusting. When his ex found this out, she called screaming that he is not allowed to call them, he must talk to her. Later she left a voice mail stating, and I quote ''you can communicate with the principal, which, by the way, I have already told her how big a piece of shit you are. So she knows all about you''. Is this legal? Isn't that defimation of caracter and interfering with the parents relationship with the child by messing up his relationship with the child's educators. I would like to know what can be done about this. Thanks

There is not too much you can do about this, sometimes people are just rude and there is no legal remedy. If this behavior continues and worsens you may need to contact us again.
