Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

passport

My X-husband is taking our 6 y/o Daughter on a cruise and wants to use her passport that I have. He said that he will hold onto it until I need it for a trip. Do I have the right as being her primary resident parent, joint parenting, to hold onto her passport? I paid for the whole thing too. He has been trying to hide the itinerary from me b/c he doesn't want me to know the cost for some reason. Finally he crossed it off the price and sent it. He is constantly causing me mental anguish while I'm pregnant and won't stop when I tell him too. He wants to argue about everything. It is impossible to joint parent. Is it difficult to file for sole custody if we can't get along?

Re: passport

It is extremely rare for the biological parents to not get joint legal custody. You probably cannot change that. You are the residential parent. What you need is more detailed order listing rights and responsibilities. And everyone needs to realize that its about the child now, not being petty towards ones ex. But the short answer is: go to court and get an order entered detailing the rights you want.
