Paying for college for adult child after Divorce

Does the man have a responsibility to pay for college when you get a divorce? He has always been the one who made the largest sum of money. The Mom has worked, but in a ministry position (low pay).

There's a specific part of the IL Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act that covers this and it essentially says that at the time a child is of college age, a court will look at the income/property of the two parents and divide college expenses accordingly. Most judges we're dealing with will just look at each parties financial affidavit and divide college costs along the lines of income.
