Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I had a pending divorce case we jist stopped going to court in 2009 then in 2010 my new attorney opened a new file for

divorce from the same person, he listed this second filing as "first time filing for divorce.".

So what's your question???? If your prior case was dismissed for some reason, the new case is a first time filing.
