Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

If two people reside in the same house and are no longer dating and the mortage in in my name and the ex will not get out. Can the police remove him from my residence?

No. This is not a criminal matter. You would have to file an eviction action and have the ex evicted.

You will have to file procedures for an eviction as the person is considered to be a tenant.
