Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

If I am pregnant and want to move out of the state I am in to be closer to my family and have a better life for my kids and self, can the father of my unborn child stop me from moving? Do I have to inform him that I am moving? Or where I am moving to? are there consequiences for me leaving state? I have been trying for over 3 years now just havnt had any luck. How would the custody issues work out with us being in different states if he decides to contact me after the baby is born?

Depends on the law of the state you are moving to. There is no law which prevents you from leaving. You are not required to give him notice. He is supposed to register under the Illinois Putative Father registry. If he has not, you can argue he does not claim to be daddy. Once yo go to court an get a support order for a child in Illinois you can not leave without a court order allowing you to leave, so the other kids may block you from leaving.
