Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Previous to being married three years ago, I owned a condominimum unit which we are now renting out to tenants. We do not have a prenuptual agreement. What happens if I die? Does my husband become owner of that property and take on the responsibilties of mortgage/sale/rental, etc.

In most cases that would be true. You should prepare a Will for just such an eventuality. When you die, if there is no Will, your husband is your heir and your entire estate will go to your husband unless you have named other beneficiaries.
