I need your help on property in a marriage (Divorce)
If you are married and your wife leaves you,they have one child together, And the car they have is in both of thier names and he makes the payment&insurance,who is intitled to it? the wife has an order of protection against him . Can he go and get that car if he has the keys to it? No divorce or legal seperation is in process.

Hello. Generally, where an
order of protection is in
place, the court order
of protection prohibits the
husband getting the car under
these circumstances. However,
I would suggest calling the
local police and asking them
to accompany (the husband)
to the house to get the car.
If they cooperate, the court
probably (maybe) will back
off and leave the car with
the husband. A lawyer is
a must in situtations like
this. Do not do a solo act.
