Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

The question I need an answer to is "if I don't appear after being summoned - have I broken some kind of law that will warrant arrest and extradition to Illinois or will they just rule in favor of her?" And if the latter, how do I get notified of her "awarded maintenance"?

If you fail to show in court after being served with a summons, the other side can get the court to issue a judgment against you which you should be notified of (I said SHOULD be), and you might be able to undo within a short period of time, but if you don't it could be permanent and if you don't obey the order you could wind up in contempt of court and eventually arrested if you continue to refuse to go to court when summoned.
