Re: help

If you were not married, you do not pay maintenance (the legal term for alimony in IL). The standard child support for one child in IL is 20% of your gross income, as figured by a unique IL calculation.

If you have more questions, feel free to email my firm. Thanks

Re: help

Dear Sir:

You are required to pay about 20% of your net (after, taxes, not gross)income, as child support but no alimony or maintenance. If I can be of further help, please let me know.

sincerely,
