Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Hello My question is my ex husband worked for Mitsubishi Motors of America for 25 years. I was a homemaker we got divorced the QDRO was done in 2014 I get permanent maintenance for the rest of my life. The company has close down gave worker servants package, am I entitled to any of it. I have no income from maintenance now this was a lost for me also.

If there was a maintenance order, was that order ever modified? if it was not, he still owes you the money. If it was, when he went to court to get it modified, that was the time to raise the issue of any severance package. If you did not raise it, it may be lost. If he hid it from the court, you may be able to go back and ask for a portion of that money. The fact that the workers were given severance packages was probably common knowledge, so you should have raised it then. But remember, if the order has not been modified, it still is in effect.
