Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My question is my ex is taking a trip to Vegas without the kids,she is planning to leave the kids with her mom but since we have joint custody in the documents said that we should agree on the childcare since this is a trip out of state I believe I have the right to have upon her return right? when I mention this to her she refuse what can i do about it.

If your agreement provides for a right for first refusal, then you are entitled to the kids. If it just a weekend, she appears to be showing poor judgment, and should ask to switch weekends with you, You could petition a court for relief, but it is not an emergency. You might not get what you want prior to her leaving.
