Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

quit deed

I signed a quit deed on the residence my husband and I shared. Our divorce was final 2-2005. In the paper it stated that he was to refinance 30 days

after the divorce was final. He did not and the loan still remains in both of our names. He died july 5, 2007. His will states that everthing goes to his children. My question is the quit deed still valid? If it is how do I go about getting my name off of the loan?

Re: quit deed

The deed is valid. Your attorney can file a motion to have the judge decide how to get your name off the mortgage.
