Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

if one has received a sentence from a judge that includes to 'have no contact with' a certain person for a period of 10 years;

and that person with in whom you are to not contact keeps on calling and attempting to communicate with you and your family.....

what is the possible penalties/threats or what is the best way to resolve this harrassment

The best thing you can do is file a police report for harassment and then go back into court and ask the Judge to life the "no contact order." What you cannot do is communicate with the "protected" party without violating the order yourself. You need to remember that by attempting to contact you the "protected" party is not violating the order, she is inviting you to violate it. If you accept her invitation, you are likely to end up in jail for violating the order. Tread carefully!
