I recently found that my husband has been committing adultery with my neighbor, he has since moved in with her, they are both alcoholics, He left me and my 4 children to fend for ourselves in a rental unit next to his mistress where he now lives. the only place I can go for help is out of state. What can I do?

You can go out of State for help. Technically, you have to get your husband's permission to move with the children out of State, however, if he's living with someone else and is an alcoholic, he'll probably be glad that you're leaving. On the other hand, you could file for divorce here in Illinois and request leave of court to remove your child. However, that would require you to stay here for an extended period while the divorce is in progress. In the meantime, you could at least move locally so that you don't have to observe him and his girlfriend on a daily basis.
