It is your ex's responsibility to file a petition for an increase in child support to have the court reset your child support obligation. OTOH, you could by agreement reset your base support and have the court enter an order to that effect. However, you are only obligated to pay support in an amount ordered by the court. Anything over that will be considered a gift and will not be refunded to you at any time.
