Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

remarriage

My husband and I recently got married. He has a child with another woman who is, surprise, never cooperative. She has sole custody by default. Am I allowed to watch the child and/or pick up the child if my husband is not able to do so on his visitation times or does she have to ok this? If she does, is it a reasonable request to bring up when we go back to court?

Re: remarriage

If the mother does not agree to you picking the child up, you will need the court's help (i.e. an order). As to watching the child, no problem.

Re: remarriage

Depends on what the divorce decree says regarding visitation.

She has custody so she has control
