responsibility
When my husband and I seperated, he had his mail forwarded. In the meantime he allowed our car insurance to lapse unbeknowest to me and I had a accident. Is he partly responsibly for the monies I am being sued for because he didn't bother to disclose that the policy was cancelled?

Interesting question. It depends on whose responsibility it was to keep you insured. If you had agreed to maintain the status quo with bills, then you may be able to bring up the costs in a divorce hearing. However, this would be a somewhat tough sell without an existing agreement that he would pay insurance.
