Retirement

In April 1985 I was divorced and there was no mention of award for my ex-wife to get any part of my retirement. It is now 28 years later. If there was no award of any portion of my retirement in April 1985, is there any chance she can come back when I retire in January 2009? I was divorced in Illinois, April 29, 1985.

Generally, she is not entitled to anything after 1985 anyway, so you have nothing to worry about.
