Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have a roomate who's cousin was recently murdered. He was only 19 years old. He lived with his legal guardians who are also his aunt and uncle. The problem now is the legal guardians want to have him cremated where his biological mother, sisters and brothers want to have him buried. Who in this case has the majority decision as he technically was an adult being 19 years of age. Please advise. Thanks.

I am saddened by your roomates loss and even sadder that such a battle is going on. The guardianship of a minor ends automatically at age 18. It seems to me that absent some written direction from the deceased that his next of kin can make the decision.
